FAQ

1. How do I go about sending in my tank?

When sending in your tank for servicing, be sure to empty all the air from the cylinder.  Include a detailed note telling the techs exactly what is going on with your system.  Be sure the note includes your name, phone number, and address to ship back to, and an email address.  We will then call you for payment information if there is a charge.  We accept all major credit cards, or ship UPS COD money order. Ship to Crossfire, 2980 Interstate Parkway, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49048.

2.  I have a slow leak, loosing about 1000psi over a week, what do I do?

With air in your system, fill your sink up with water and submerse the regulator in the water.   Look for bubbles.  Usually it is a tiny leak around the threads of the fill port, gauge, or rupture plugs.  You can gently tighten the fitting until the bubbles stop, or, degas the cylinder and remove the fitting that is leaking.  Once the fitting is removed you can use thread sealant, such as Teflon tape.  Replace the fitting, making sure not to over tighten.

3.  My fill nipple keeps leaking, how do I take care of this?

This o-ring sees a ton of wear and tear.  Most of the replacement o-rings are black rubber, not high quality urethane.  These o-rings are not very durable and will definitely wear down and cause leaks easily.  We sell a very high quality urethane o-ring on our website.  They are the highest quality available and will last much longer than the other o-rings available. 

4.  What does it mean if I have a scratch in your fiber cylinder?

If you have a scratch in your fiber cylinder you should have the original tank manufacturer take a look at it immediately.  No matter what, if you have a scratch in your cylinder, do not fill it until it has been inspected by the manufacturer.  If any fibers of the cylinder are exposed, charred, or damaged, do not fill!  This is not something that we can inspect over the telephone, so please send in your cylinder for inspection.  

5.  Can I heat up a fiber cylinder to help break the regulator free?

NO, NO and NO!!!!!!!  No matter what, never heat up a cylinder or expose it to flames.  This will damage the fibers of the cylinder and greatly reduce the structual integrity of the cylinder.  If you have done this or know someone who has done this, take the bottle to a testing facility or send it direcly to us.  This bottle needs to be condemned and destroyed immediately.  This is very dangerous and should never be done.

6. If I don't have a  Crossfire tank, can you still hydro test my tank?

Yes! We can hydro test any type of D.O.T. & TC approved cylinder.  We understand the importance of safety, and are grateful that you choose us to perform this test for you.  We work with paintball valves all day, every day and understand how delicate they are.  Because of this, we treat every tank like it is our own.

7.  Are there any hidden charges to your hydro test?

No! Our price on hydro testing includes the removal of your regulator, the cleaning of your threads, the hydro test, and the reinstallation of your regulator.  The only other cost to you is the return shipping.

8.  How do I change my Crossfire reg from high pressure to low pressure?

Crossfire now offers a low pressure spring kit that can be installed on your Crossfire stealth system high pressure regulator.  You can purchase on the website and even watch a video of how it's installed.

9. Do you swap other brand regulators for yours?

Yes! This was how we started our reg swap.  Players were disappointed with the reg they bought from the competitors.  We wanted to offer Crossfire performance and reliability to these players without them having to purchase a whole new bottle.

10.  My reg snapped off when I was trying to remove it.  What do I do?

Unfortunatley, if you snap off your regulator inside your cylinder there is not much we can do for you.  This is why we suggest that you send in your system to us if you need the regulator removed.  We have the proper tools along with the skills and experience needed to successfully remove the regulator for the cylinder.  If you do break your regulator off inside the cylinder, do not attempt to remove what is left inside the cylinder.  Box up your cylinder and send it into us, we will attempt to remove the remaining part of the regulator.  We have very limited success in doing this, but we can at least try. 

11. How does Crossfire ship?

We use UPS to ship to you.  UPS is very reliable and every package gets a tracking number, which makes it very easy to track a package along it's journey.  Standard ground shipping is used for all return packages.
